TWO BULKERS ORDERED FROM KOUAN BY SHANGHAI GANGLU

Chinese operator Shanghai Ganglu Navigation, which mainly serves the domestic coastal and river ports, has contracted with Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding (pictured) to build two bulk carriers, each of 56,000 dwt capacity.

The vessels will be classed by China Classification Society, and when delivered, scheduled for 2020, they will be Shanghai Ganglu Navigation ‘s largest ships. The majority of the operator’s fleet are general cargo ships.
