OCEAN SAFETY TO DISTRIBUTE NEW LINELAUNCHER

Thursday, May 9, 2019

Ocean Safety, which specialises in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine and waterside safety equipment, has been appointed a UK distributor of Linelauncher, which propels a rope and flotation device up to 100m to either recover a person or to transfer goods or a heavy duty tow/rescue rope.

LineLauncher, which was developed in New Zealand, is the latest product to join Ocean Safety’s portfolio of safety products. The LineLauncher is powered by a 16g CO2 cylinder and when activated propels a hi-vis floating polypropylene rope and flotation device up to 80m. The LineLauncher, which weights 3.5kg and measures 0.8m in length, can be used in any situation where a line needs to be launched from vessel to vessel, vessel to shore or shore to vessel including vertical launches. It can be used to recover a person from the sea or in a rescue situation, transfer goods or a heavy duty tow/rescue rope.

The LineLauncher can be re-armed and re-used after the cylinder is spent.  It can also be used on land and use is not restricted by any firearms regulations.
