MJP OPENS NEW FACILITY IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Saturday, March 2, 2019

Swedish waterjet company Marine Jet Power (MJP) has established a new sales and service office for Asia Pacific (APAC), headquartered in Perth Henderson, Western Australia.

Company CEO Magnus Sörenson, CFO Erling Tomasson and EVP of Sales and Marketing Damian O’Toole recently attended the opening of the new offices, located in the Australian Marine Complex overlooking Jervis Bay. Co-located with IKAD Engineering, the new MJP APAC headquarters offers close proximity to a number of shipyards and fleet operators in the area.

“Our commitment to the region is firm,” said MJP CEO, Magnus Sörenson. “Opening an office in Western Australia in addition to our existing office in South Korea will further strengthen our service capabilities in the fast-growing APAC market.”

The new office, led by Regional Director Paul Hague, will offer customers in-region support, from parts fulfilment to a local phone service for builders and operators in Australia and Southeast Asia.

“We are extremely pleased for the opportunity to be working with IKAD Engineering, their dedicated marine repair facility is well suited for the needs of MJP as we continue to grow in the APAC region,” said Paul Hague, MJP Regional Director of APAC. “This strategic location will allow us to better service and support customers in the region by providing a more hands-on, accessible and localised approach.”
