Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) will build a 174,000m3 LNG carrier for Maran Gas Maritime.

Due for delivery in the first half of 2022 from DSME’s Geoje Okpo Shipyard, the vessel is the sixth LNGC the yard is contracted to build for the owner. Negotiations are in progress for additional vessels. The ships will feature the yards proprietary Advanced Partial Re-liquefaction System (A-PRS).

DSME said: "Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has attracted the attention of shipowners in the customer service field after winning orders such as the development of VR seamen education system and the development of digital twin seam. We will do our best to achieve our order target. "

DSME has secured about US$ 26.9 billion worth of vessels, including six LNG carrier vessels, six super crude oil carriers and three submarines.
