LNG FUELLED PAIR FOR DONSOTANK

Swedish tanker operator Donsötank hascontracted two LNG-fuelled oil products and chemical tankers at Wuhu Shipyard in China, for delivery in 2021.

The vessels are designed by FKAB, with low-resistance hull lines. Donsotank and FKAB have a long relationship, with focus on safety, a good  working environment and reduced environmental impact. The vessels are ice strengthened to ice class 1A, equipped with shore connection for port operations, prepared for 1000 kWh battery-pack and incorporate several other features for flexible and stable transports. 
The vessels will be commercially managed by Navix Maritime Chartering. They are 22,000dwt and 28,000m3 capacity, 167.7m length oa. The dual fuel main engine is a Wärtsilä 10V31 DF, and the two SCR-equipped auxiuliaries are of Wärtsilä 8L20 design.
