HIGH SPEED FERRY FOR DANUBE FROM ISLE OF WIGHT YARD

UK lightweight ferry specialist Wight Shipyard has delivered its latest vessel, a 39m commuter and sightseeing vessel designed by Incat Crowther, to Central Danube Region Marketing & Development company.

The ship will operate between Vienna and Bratislava on the River Danube, and is powered by four Scania high speed diesel engines each driving a Rolls-Royce Kamewa S40-3 waterjet, giving a maximum speed capability of 40 knots.
