FIRST STEEL CUT IN FRANCE FOR NEW RCL OASIS CLASS CRUISE SHIP

Friday, April 26, 2019

Chantiers de l’Atlantique has reported that the first steel plate of the latest Oasis-Class ship (hull 34) has been cut at the Saint-Nazaire machining workshop.

This ceremony symbolically marks the start of the construction of the third Oasis-class built by the shipyard, after Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas delivered in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Like her sister ships, the hull of the new cruise ship will comprise about 400, 000 individual machined steel parts.
