Thursday, September 5, 2019

The CMHI yard in China has carried out the keel laying ceremony for the 'Ocean Victory' and the steel cutting ceremony for the 'Ocean Explorer' newbuilds.

The expedition cruise vessels are under construction for US based SunStone Ships and have been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions.

SunStone Ships has placed a ship construction order of up to 10 expedition cruise vessels in their Infinity Class series at the CMHI yard, of which the Ocean Victory is number three, and the Ocean Explorer is number four, respectively.

The first vessel in the series, the Greg Mortimer, is being prepared for her naming ceremony on 6 September.
