BECKER TWISTED FLAP RUDDERS ORDERED FOR MSC CRUISE SHIPS

Friday, April 26, 2019

Becker Marine of Germany reports that French shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique has ordered the Becker Flap Rudder Twisted as manoeuvring solution of choice for four (two plus two options) World Class cruise ships under construction in Saint-Nazaire for MSC Cruises.

The vessels of this series will have a length of 330m and will accommodate a record-breaking 6,850 passengers each. Becker’s well-proven flap rudders – two for each vessel – will provide high manoeuvrability and add to the efficiency of the World Class series. Becker says that this order is another significant milestone in its long-standing partnership with both Chantiers de l’Atlantique and MSC Cruises.
